5 AI Video Models Compared on 450+ Real Production Renders

Sora 2, Kling v3, Seedance 2.0, Veo 3.1 and Hailuo 02 compared with measured production data: success rates, render times, durations, audio support and the real cost per video.

Most AI video model comparisons are written from spec sheets. This one is written from our production database: since April 2026, Artvizon has rendered product videos for real e-commerce stores across five families of video models, and every number below is measured, not quoted.

A note on method: we count every render our users launched, including the failed ones. Costs are shown in Artvizon credits for our standard recipe: an 8-second product video with the two-LLM "Duet" scripting pass, at the model's native resolution. At our pack rate 1 credit = $0.01, so 500 credits is about $5.00 of retail value per video. Where a model has too little production volume for a fair rate, we say so instead of inventing one.

Sora 2 note: across 452 logged renders it has been remarkably reliable at rendering. The only failure class we see at volume is its content moderation: in our last 60 days, 2 renders out of 23 were rejected by OpenAI's filter, not by a technical fault.

Sora 2 β€” the workhorse, retiring September 24, 2026

Sora 2 carried most of our production since April: strong scene coherence, and the widest spoken-language range we have shipped, including Arabic dialects. Two structural limits: output tops out at 720p, and its content moderation is the strictest of the five β€” ordinary product briefs that mention brand names are the typical rejection we see.

OpenAI has announced Sora 2's retirement on September 24, 2026. It remains selectable in Artvizon until then, and since August 28 any Sora render refused mid-flight is automatically retried on Kling v3 instead of failing β€” at the price you saw when you clicked, never more.

Kling v3 Standard β€” our new default

Since August 28, 2026 the default model in Artvizon is Kling v3 Standard. The measured case for it: native 1080p (our delivered quality jumps from 720p), any duration from 3 to 15 seconds instead of fixed steps, native multi-shot sequences up to 36 seconds handled by the model itself, and render times we measured in the 1–2 minute range on the v3 family. The honest limitation: spoken audio is native in English and Chinese only β€” for other voice languages we recommend switching model for now.

Seedance 2.0 β€” premium output, premium price

Every one of the 10 Seedance 2.0 renders in our production completed, with an average render time of about 5 minutes. Image quality is at the top of what we ship. It is also the most expensive mainstream option in our grid at 1,340 credits for the 8-second recipe β€” a deliberate choice for hero assets rather than everyday catalog videos.

Veo 3.1 and Hailuo 02 β€” the specialists

Veo 3.1 is the audio specialist: convincing voice-over delivery and resolutions up to 4K, at a premium price (1,380 credits; a faster, lighter Veo 3.1 Fast variant costs 516 credits). Hailuo 02 Pro is the opposite corner: the cheapest clip in the grid (292 credits) but locked to roughly 6 seconds and silent β€” no audio track at all. Both run in our production at low volume, so we report their pricing and constraints rather than success rates.

What actually fails, and what happens then

At production volume, the failure we actually log is not rendering quality β€” it is content moderation, almost entirely on Sora 2. Since August 28 our pipeline answers it automatically: the same job is resubmitted to Kling v3 with the same product image, and if every provider refuses, the credits are refunded automatically. You are never charged for a video that does not exist.

How to choose, in one list

  • Default choice: Kling v3 Standard β€” 1080p, flexible durations, native multi-shot, mid-range price.
  • Voice-over in Arabic or many languages, until Sept 24: Sora 2.
  • Best possible frame quality for a hero asset: Seedance 2.0.
  • Audio quality first, or 4K: Veo 3.1 (or Veo 3.1 Fast on a budget).
  • Cheapest short clip, silent: Hailuo 02 Pro.
